Coaching and Consultancy

Writing Life Coaching Package:

Coaching on all aspects of the writing life and the creative process, including: inspiration; motivation; creative blocks; methods of working; time management; relationships; boundaries; productivity; business skills; creative process; self-marketing; confidence; submissions and publishing. After the coaching session, you are invited to submit a review form to confirm your action plan, which we will keep you accountable to.

This package includes six sessions over a three month period, two sessions per month.

The Full Mentor

Minimum of three months’ commitment.

This package includes two monthly coaching calls – to include a literary consultancy element, reading and full annotation of up to 50 pages of double-spaced manuscript during the month, plus e-mail support. This package offers more detailed annotation notes than our straight literary consultancy package.

This package is for those who are fully committed to their writing and are ready to take their work to the next level. Our coaching can address many areas of your life and your writing, including inspiration, motivation, writer’s ‘block’, productivity, time management, making money from your writing and negotiating agents and publishers. Our consultants will support you at every stage of your writing life, whether you are a beginner or an experienced author. Our mutual aim is to help you have a writing life that you love; for writing to be an integrated part of your life; for you to achieve your writing goals with ease.

When you join us as a coaching/consultancy client, you will open up your awareness of what is possible for you as an individual and as a writer. We offer firm, constructive criticism about your work in progress, to ensure your work is as good as it can possibly be. If you are ready to take yourself seriously as a writer, this is the option for you.

One month Full Mentor Package : £250 ($410)

The Full Mentor package includes:

• 2x 1 hour telephone coaching sessions per month.

• In-between email support.

• Reading up to 25 double spaced pages of your MS in between each session (up to 50 pages per month). Our consultant will make notes, consider your work and give you detailed constructive criticism and feedback during your calls. We will also return your manuscripts with detailed pencil-annotated notes. Please note however that this is not a full editing service.

• A FREE gift of “The Writing Coach” e-book.

• Information sheets e-mailed to you as we produce them. You will always be the first to receive all printed materials. You will also automatically be subscribed to our newsletter “This Writing Life” which includes many writing exercises, inspirational ideas and interviews with industry professionals.

Literary Consultancy

For a Full Written Reader’s Report:

This service includes reading of the manuscript and a full written report. It also includes some pencil-annotation of text, but this is not an editing service.

For a full-length manuscript, the report would be between 7-10 single-spaced pages. A complimentary 30 minute telephone conversation is included.

For manuscripts up to 50 pages: £170 ($280) (minimum fee) (Agent/publisher submission package)
For manuscripts up to 100 pages: £260 ($425)
For manuscripts up to 200 pages: £340 ($555)
For each additional 50 pages after 200: £60 ($99)

Therefore a 400 page manuscript would cost: £580 ($950)

Written reports and editing are available as separate services, on request.
