Do you long to dive into a Writing Project but always procrastinate about getting started? Are you a writer who needs additional confidence and motivation in order to complete a project? Do you need particular help with the technical aspects of writing a novel? Are you ready to commit to Artistic Success?

 

Artistic dreams can be fragile creatures. All too often, we put off our creative ideas for another day. We allow our regular distractions to get in the way of what really matters.

Yet when we allow ourselves to fully focus on our creativity, when we set time aside to plan our artistic vision, to commit to it and put actions in place that will ensure our artistic growth, we can achieve outstanding creative success, with an ease that surprises us.

Often all we need is the space and time to make that commitment and the support of others who really believe in us: a group of fellow creative individuals who are equally ready to make their vision a reality.

The Creative Vision Writer's Group has been designed to give you that space, time, commitment and support. It is a small, exclusive group of up to 16 people, all of whom are ready to making 2007 the year when their writing dreams are made concrete. This group is open to all aspiring and established writers. The only requirement of membership is your own desire to commit to your project and to being a constructive member of the group.

As your coach, I will join you and our creative colleagues as we embark on this journey of self-discovery and commitment to our artistic work. This year, I am also moving towards completion of my own fourth novel, so I will be making commitments with you and cheering you every step of the way.

In these eight meetings (by telephone conference line) you will:

• Learn how to be driven by passion, not discipline
• Get to the heart of your own creative passion
• Form a unique vision for your writing life
• Formulate a personal Action Plan and Schedule for success
• Understand why you may get blocked and learn how to overcome fear and procrastination
• Learn new time-management and productivity techniques

• Remain focussed and deeply committed to your work
• Learn new writing techniques including how to grow your work organically and key ideas about characterisation and plotting
• Learn about the 5 stages of the writing process.
• Discover an unprecedented confidence in your artistic work
• Actually CREATE something that you are truly proud of during the course
  

 

How does the Creative Vision Writer's Group work?

The Group will be a team of up to 16 committed fellow writers, who all meet on a teleconference telephone line, for an hour, once a week in a group discussion facilitated by me. It will be action focused and you will make creative commitments as part of the process, to ensure that you meet your personal goals. I will be on the line to guide and support every member of the group. In addition, the 8-week programme will include direct guidance on how to overcome procrastination, get beyond fear and have a real creative output.

What is a teleclass?

A teleclass is a class held on the telephone. You dial in using a normal phone and are connected to the teleclass leader (me) and everyone else on the call, so that everyone is in the same ‘room’. I will make sure that everyone gets a chance to speak and will ensure that this community is a friendly and supportive one. There is an opportunity to learn directly from my experience and from the collective wisdom of the group. When you sign up for the group, I will provide you with a telephone number to call and an access code. It will be an American phone number, but if you are calling from the UK, I will send you information to help you get the cheapest rate line for the call.
